Best time to visit

If you are planning to go to Leh-Ladakh, then choose the month of April to September. Summertime is considered to be the best time to visit Ladakh. At this time, all roads are opened for tourists. At this time, the sky is clear, and you can see all the beautiful views. During this time you can enjoy trekking and river rafting here as well.

How to Reach

The most challenging thing to do on the Leh-Ladakh trip is to decide whether we have to go by air or by road. Friends, I want to tell you one thing that even after reaching Leh, you can make a road trip by renting a bike or renting a four-wheeler. If you’re going to go Ladakh By air, you will get easy flights from Delhi and Chandigarh, which will land you directly at Leh Airport.

If you choose By road, you get two routes to reach Leh, one via Manali and one via Srinagar. If you are a very adventurous lover and want to enjoy the adventure very well, you should make a road trip; otherwise, if you’re going to complete this trip safely and with a tiny headache, then choose a flight.

Important tips

  • Friends, In Leh-Ladakh trip, if you go Leh to Pangong lake or Leh to Nubra valley, you need to get a special inner line permit, which you will get quickly in the collector office of Leh city.
  • For a Permit, you will get Rs 400 per person.
  • If you talk about mobile SIM, then only postpaid connection runs here. Here the postpaid connection of BSNL and Airtel runs very well.
  • Friends, now I am going to tell you about an important tip. You all must have heard about acute mountain sickness (AMS). Friends, the oxygen level is reduced because of going to high altitude; due to this, there are very different changes in our body which can later take AMS. AMS is a dangerous thing that can lead to death. That is why acclimatization or first-day stay becomes very important. I will tell you that whenever you go to Ladakh, always rest on the first day. Give your body time to get started with that environment.
  • Leh-Ladakh is situated at a very high altitude, which keeps snowing here. That is why carry maximum winter cloth with you.
  • Friends, if you are traveling by road in Leh-Ladakh, keep your speed under control and drive very carefully because the road here is uncertain.
  • Do not use polythene bags at all in Leh-Ladakh, because this area is no polythene zone.
  • It would be best if you kept in mind before going to any monastery here that you use total covered clothing.
