How to Reach Darjeeling:
By flight: Nearest Airport in Darjeeling is Bagdogra Airport. The distance from Bagdogra to Darjeeling is about 60 kilometers. If you want, you can hire a taxi or shared taxi from the airport to reach Darjeeling. For a taxi, you have to pay 2500 Rs approx, and for the shared taxi you have to pay 400 – 500 Rs. For the bus, you have to come to Siliguri, which is about 15 kilometers from the airport. In Siliguri, you will easily get a bus to Darjeeling. You will get a bus ticket for just 100 Rs.
By train: The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri. The distance from the Railway station to Darjeeling is about 75 to 80 kilometers. This railway station is connected to all the major railway routes in the country. From here you can also take a toy train. It will pick you at 10;00 am and leave you in Darjeeling till 6:00 in the evening. Apart from this, you can also reach Darjeeling by shared taxi or bus.

According to my, you take the hotel on Gandhi Road because here you will get everything easily like from travel to food and drink. If you want to stay in Camp, then you will also get this facility, which is just a few kilometers from the main city. Its cost is around Rs 1000 per person, including food. If you are a solo traveler, you can also stay in hostels. Its cost will come to you within Rs 300 to ₹ 500.
