Biographical/Historical: Winchester Medical Centerは、バージニア州ウィンチェスターのクリフォード通りとスチュアート通りの角でウィンチェスター記念病院として始まりました。 1903年3月17日に開院しました。 開院当初は、12室の個室と24床の病室がありました。 その後、建物やサービスが拡充されました。 ウィンチェスター記念病院の看護師養成学校は、独立した運営でした。 この学校は、1903年の病院の開院と同時に始まりました。 1905年のクラスが最初のクラスで、メアリー・ミリナーという一人の人間が含まれていました。 看護学校は60年間運営され、1964年に閉鎖された。 1964年のクラスが最後のクラスでした。
新しい施設は、8000万ドルの病院複合施設で、1989年12月にオープンしました。 場所はウィンチェスターの西、アマースト通り1840番地です。 バレー・ヘルスはこの施設を所有する親会社です。 411床のこの病院は、新しいユニットやサービスが追加され、成長を続けています。
